To get a job in Investment Banking - M&A; what is better, Masters in Finance or Masters in Accounting?
If I want to get a job in Investment Banking - Mergers and Acquisitions; would it be better for me to get my Masters degree in Finance or Accounting? I am a current undergrad, double majoring in both Finance and Accounting. I just want to know what would be more likely to land me a job after school.

I Would Have Thought that Accounting would Be Of more use in M&A As Complete understanding of a company's books Accounting bases And Particularly the Various Anomalies that Creative Accountancy (Legal & Otherwise) Introduces into the Melting Pot.....Being Able to Assimilate a Multitude of Flying Concepts and their Possible / Probable OutComes Particularly when Viewed Against Governmental Controls & Constraints Is I Believe of Paramount Importance. Your Absorbing Thoroughly The Fundamentals Of A Business Structure Will or Should Arm You With the Ability to Tear away the layers Of Historical Malpractices to Reveal the Sound base on Which to Rebuild or the Basis On Which to Reject the company (to be Acquired) Reading / Discovering the Hidden assetts or Weakness of a company Will Afford You the Opportunity to Excel where Many Before You Have Blindly Failed..On Numerous Occasions it Can Be Enlightened Interpretation Which is the ruling Factor in Merger Deals..
